Our client, a $25 million profitable and rapidly growing distributor of engineering simulation tools and technical services with over 90 employees and over 10 regional offices in North America, seeks an electro-mechanical application support engineer. You will become a key member of technical team and will work and learn in a rewarding technical environment. New college graduates to seasoned professionals with the required minimum skills.

Minimum Skills and Experience

: • Education – B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters or PhD a plus)
  • Experience with Ansys Maxwell or a similar 3D electromagnetic application tool

• Location:

What's the job like?


You will use software such as ANSYS Maxwell, PExprt, RMxprt, and Simplorer to provide
 • Technical Support - Provide technical support to end-users of ANSYS by phone, e-mail, or in person
 • Pre-sales support - Work with  account managers to determine the customer's software needs, answer customer questions during the sales process, and provide software demos/presentations on a variety of subjects
 • Consulting o Work with customers to determine their analysis requirements and expectations o Develop quotes/proposals by determining scopes, costs, and schedules o Complete consulting projects on time and within budget o Work with customers to propose alternative design ideas o Write analysis reports and other technical documents requested by the customer o Technical training - Teach ANSYS classes at client sites, on-line, and in offices across the U.S. and in Canada

§  Support Client technical and commercial noise/vibration/dynamics activities globally, both pre-sale and post-sale.

o   Visit customers and provide onsite technical support for noise/vibration/dynamics issues.

o   Lead and prepare noise/vibration/dynamics webinars for technical audiences.

o   Lead and assist in the preparation of noise/vibration/dynamics technical workshops through creation of technical material (datasheets, presentations, etc).
